BIography of Rini Sugianto

RINI SUGIANTO 

    Rini Sugianto is an animator from Indonesia who was born on the 3rd january 1980, in Lanpung. she is the youngest from her siblings who was raised in Bandar Lampung city. she was born from a family of businessman. she graduated from Animation major in Academy of Art University in San Francisco(2019)

this is her backstory 

   Since childhood Rini was taught that profession such as doctor or architecture are more special than any other profession. As a result, Rini, who was actually interested in the art world, chose to study architecture for collage.

  After graduate. Rini had realized that the concepts of architecture made her feel trapped. the lines that she need to draw dan the rules that she must follow was very strict. This makes Rini feel that her activities is inhibited.

   Rini realized that she wanted to pursue a different career but also wanted to use the skills she had acquired as an architecture student. Rini began to look up at the world of film. A film can make things that are impossible in real life be possible and look very realistic, especially in the field of animation, which was developing in Hollywood at that time. Rini then felt inspired by this chance.

   

   Animation is a technique for moving and giving life to inanimate objects in a film. Rini realized that animation can make things that go beyond imagination, by applying the rules of realistic that she had learned. She then began to study animation by her self. 

   

    When Rini studies animation in America, she learned new ways to make an animation. She became one of the first people who are able to do high-quality animation in films, when at the time Hollywood was looking for people like Rini.

    Therefore Rini was also invited to work on an animation for many successful Hollywood films such as Iron Man 3 (2013), Avenger: Age of Ultron (2015), The Hunger Games, Ready Player One, dan many more!. But working on a animation is very complicated. Her day to day life are filled with computer screen. Making a 30 second animation can take up to 1 year of work!.

she said that " the most memorable film are The Adventure of Tintin: The Secret of The Unicorn (2011), because it's one of the first film i ever joined in the making proses. And the most difficult one in the creative prosses would be The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey(2012)"

  Because of this, Rini always free up her schedule on Sunday to go adventure with her husband such as  go climbing dan plau ski together, this activities can make Rini feel refresh to do work again. Now, Rini works in one of the biggest gaming company in the world named Blizzard Entertainment. Moments that made Rini feel joyful is when she watch a movie and she sees her name appear at the top of the screen at the end cart.

From her back story, i feel inspired as a young artist who was the same dream and hobby and as someone who wants to persuade her dreams on acrhcitecture and animation , her story gives me inspiration to try new things ,  the never gave up and find a solution in her problem and takes opportunity as a step to pursue her dreams.
