Learning Deutsch  From : Nico's Weg

Guten Tag! today i would like to tell you guys about a light movie for learning german in a fun and educative format. The Movie is called  Learn German (A1): whole movie in German - "Nicos Weg". it aims to help the viewers to learn more vocabulary and they can learn together with the main character from the movie, his name is Nico Sebastian. 

So the movie starts with a man named Nico Sebastian who was just landed in German from Spain, He meet with a lot of German people and he helps a little girl to blow bubbles but he miss put this bag else where and a taxi driver mistook his bag with the passenger luggage and that is when his journey to find "Die Tasche". 

While he was left with no money, no bag, and lack of German language skill a little child named Emma and her aunt Lisa offered him some help. Fortunately Lisa and her friend rented an apartment so Nico can stay with them but one of them was gonna go to France for a job so they held a farewell party for him. At the party he meet with Selma his new crush (i'd say) later she will help him.And he also remembers that his Aunt, Yara have a bicycle shop and lives in German so he tried to search for her 

So for days he helps Lisa and her friends doing some work, learn their culture and even learn more vocabulary along the way, he is trying to adapt with living in German and finding. More clues and people to finding "Die Tasche" and his Aunt started to show. He found his Aunt shop but his aunt was nowhere to be found because she went to Zurich for something and so Nico waited for her.

While he was visiting his Aunt shop waiting for her to come, Selma accidentally found Nico's lost bag out in the street. Nico was relief and when he open his bag some of his clothes was missing but luckily his passport and card was not stolen. After that he became more closer to Selma. Nico and his new friend then help Lisa with her job even Nico went to the hospital because he was injured when playing soccer. Later his friend who i think works at his Aunt shop and is a friend of Yara, let Nico inside and waited, lo and behold that day his Aunt finally arrived and the movie ends.

Now in my opinion, i watched this movie with a German subs because unfortunately for me there are no English Subs but what's great about is i can mostly understand what is happening for the story line, i can see that they purposely put some sentence here and there for the viewer to learn German through simple conversation. With that here are some words that i found and i translate :

• (der) Abschied = farewell, leave
• (das) Gemϋse = vegetables
• (die) Sehenswϋrdigkeit = sight, point of interest 
• (das) Zimmer = room, Apartment
• Prost! = Cheers

The moral of the story is never give up on what your are searching, still stay calm even in the hardest situation, help others and it's alright to feel homesick because like the conversation between Lisa and Yara " no matter how far you go and no matter how long you stay in one place, nothing can beat your own homeland".

True there it is kind of boring to watch but because it was something different from what i always see it somehow captivate me to continue watching it. It was hard to completely understand what they are saying but with little step to want to learn something new makes it easier to understand. And with that i think this movie is great for someone who wants to learn German language, see how it use on an every day basis and have a spare time to learn it.
